


Jacqueline Ivory
Jacqueline has been teaching yoga since 2002. She originally trained in General Hatha Yoga via the Shadow Yoga method in London and then moved on to study Ashtanga Yoga in India and later Yoga Nidra in Cape Town. She teaches Ashtanga Yoga, Ashtanga Mysore Style, Jai Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Pregnancy Yoga and Private Yoga Tuition.
acqueline first practiced yoga at age 19 and knew it was her calling from age 25 but realised what yoga in action was when she gave birth to her son Jai in 2009. She practiced pregnancy yoga all the way through her pregnancy and Ashtanga Yoga helped a speedy post birth recovery.
Jacqueline's classes are challenging and fun, foccussing on internal connection, alignment and integrity. She loves practicing and teaching Yoga Nidra as a form of meditation.
Syed Ali
Sy was born in India and moved to the UK in 1990. He was a Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist for 8 years and began practising Bikram Yoga in 2000. After moving to Cape Town in 2006 he did Teacher Training with Bikram in Hawaii in 2007 and started to teach that same year. He began practising Ashtanga Yoga and Power Yoga in Cape Town in 2007.
Sy teaches Bikram Yoga and Jai Vinyasa Yoga. An extensive knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology plays an important role in Sy's teaching and is evident in his attention to detail. Sy is a patient teacher with a passion for helping others to heal themselves.
ean-Pierre is not just your everyday massage therapist, he believes in the holistic approach to health, his incredible hands, and the tremendous love he has for his work; makes him a massage therapist that is unique. He believes in giving each person individual attention, and work with their individual needs. His warm vibrant personality helps him relate well to his clients, and the magic in his hands gets down to deep seated problems, relieving the tension and stress without placing undue stress on a person.
He offers four modalities that help restore the body, mind and soul. Deep Tissue massage, the most effective solution to relieving pain and tension. OSHO Rebalancing combined with deep tissue massage collectively achieves a sense of wholeness and balance in the body. The Lomi Lomi massage, using dynamic movements to rhythmically invoke a sense of awareness through every sense of the body. And finally Breathwork, good breathing restores one ability to breathe better, and help improve eyesight, athletic performance, stress and panic responses, muscle tension, blood pressure and revitalize and energize a person.
Charles Saka
Charles is from Malawi and is a carpenter by trade. He moved to Cape Town in November 2009. He was a key member of the building team at Jai and was Sy’s right hand man. He now maintains the studio.
He also practices yoga and says “ …it’s perfect and will be my special exercise in my life.
Charles has a daughter called Mary who lives in Malawi with his wife.
Angela Lucy Sudi
Lucy is from Malawi and was born in Kadoma, Zimbabwe. She has been in Cape Town since January 2008. She is Jai’s nanny and also does reception work at the studio.
Lucy practices yoga and says “…i enjoy it. I recommend it to anyone.”
She has a daughter called Memory who lives in Malawi with her mother.
